Mr. Alan Shaver Pyle, 68, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 in his home. Mr. Pyle was born in Doniphan, MO., on July 30, 1947. He was a farmer, auctioneer, well driller and Director of Corning Healthcare. He was proud to say he was a Vietnam Veteran having honorably Served his country as a member of the United States Army. He enjoyed working, duck hunting, working with and riding horses, going to the river and he loved to read. He was a member of Success Church of Christ.
He married his wife of 46 years Bethel “Tinker” (Miller) Pyle on April 17, 1969. She survives, other survivors include two children Justin Pyle and wife Shonna of Jonesboro, AR., Ellen and husband Chris Shockley of Tunica, MS.; two brothers Bill Pyle of Current View, MO., Eddie Pyle of Little Rock, AR.; two sisters Marsha Paslay of Hot Springs, AR., Sarah Wiedeman of Hot Springs, AR.; grandson Hunter Pyle and wife Sierra Pyle of Corning, AR.; several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Pat Pyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Edgar and Sally Lou (Crismon) Pyle; and one brother Frankie Pyle.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bruce McGrew officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Terry Pope, Jay Butler, Matt Edwards, Jerry Turner, Dale Gulledge, and Arnold Wilkerson.
