Alene Allmon

Mrs. Alene Allmon, 87, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, October, 13, 2010 at National Healthcare in Kennett, MO. Mrs. Allmon was born in Remmel, AR. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, working with the Hospital Auxilary and the Clay County Home Extension Club. She was a member of the Corning Church of Christ.
She married her husband Junior Allmon on July 3, 1942, he survives. Other survivors include one son Wayne Allmon and wife Linda of McDougal, AR.; two grandsons Brady Allmon and wife Kristi of Paragould, AR, Britt Allmon and wife Christal of McDougal, AR.; four great-grandchildren Nicholas, Veronica, Camille and Brent.
She was preceded in death by parents Gus and Margie (Lewis) Bridges; one daughter; four brothers Elzy Bridges, Lewis Bridges, Ed Bridges, Gus Bridges Jr.; two sisters Myrenda Mathis and Lanomia Mathis.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow the service in Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Public visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
