Mrs. Alfreda Lawson, 89, of Memphis, TN., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Lawson was born in McRae, AR., she was a retired grocery clerk and bank teller. She enjoyed crosswords, knitting, crotchet, needlepoint, reading, and gardening. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Corning, AR.
She is survived by two sons Randy Lawson of Hollywood, MD., Richie Lawson of Germantown, TN.; three brothers Walter Mizell of Little Rock, AR., John L. Mizell of Greenville, TX., James Howard Mizell of Pompano Beach, FL.; three grandchildren Meghan Caslin, Justin and Aaron Lawson; one great grandchild Sean William Caslin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Earl and Artie (Scrivner) Mizell; husband Charles Sicurella; daughter Mary C. Sicurella; brothers Leonard, Lowell, Winton, and Earl Mizell, Jr.; and one granddaughter Virginia Kathleen Lawson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Corning with Reverend David Richey officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
