Mrs. Alice Devene Leonard, 81, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mrs. Leonard was born in Corning, AR., on January 13, 1936. She was a homemaker. She was a warrior for Jesus Christ, she loved reading the Bible, working crosswords, and playing cards. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She married her husband of 54 years Mr. Clarence Leonard, Jr., on October 11, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2007.
She is survived by one son Kenny Leonard of Poplar Bluff, MO.; two daughters Connie Dangos of Saint Louis, MO., Cindy Collier of Saint Louis, MO.; two grandchildren Chris Collier, Zach Dangos; one brother Jimmy Dixon; four sisters Barbara Davis, Mary Lou Howell, Kay Vaughn and Betty Ann Westerfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Pete and Lucy (Nisworner) Dixon.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Kirk Jaudes officiating. Burial will follow the services at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
