Allen Banks

Allen Banks, 78, of Corning passed away September 29, 2020 at Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Allen was born June 5, 1942 in Sikeston, MO. He was a retired truck driver who enjoyed reading and woodworking. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.

On June 8, 1974 he married Helen Marie Turner, his wife of more than 43 years. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2018.

Survivors include his daughter Annah (Mark) Banks-Mullen of West Plains, MO, sister Bonnie Pierce of Corning, and grandchildren Merris and Cawyer.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his son Richard Kevin Hayes, parents Allen H. and Ettie (Bryan) Banks, and brother Dennis Banks.

Visitation will be Thursday October 1, 2020 beginning at 2 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Williams Cemetery in Corning with Elder Robert Moore officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery.
