Mrs. Alma Curtis, 76, of Corning, AR. passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Curtis was a retired school teacher for the Corning School District. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in the Heelstring Community and a long-time Sunday School Teacher.
She married her husband Gerald Lee Curtis, Sr. on November 4, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2005.
She is survived by one son Colin Curtis of Corning, AR.; one sister JoAnn Harris of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; five grandsons Billy, Andrew, Jake, Ethan, and Brady Curtis; four great grandchildren Faith, Matilyn, Conner, and William Ryder.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Lee Curtis, Sr.; one son Gerald Lee Curtis, Jr.; and her parents Oscar Clayton and Mary Kathleen (Wright) Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert
Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, AR. Public visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2010 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
