Almarietta Fugate

Mrs. Almarietta Fugate, 86, of Wappapello, MO., passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Fugate was born in Corning, AR., on October 12, 1932. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and yardwork. She was a member of Little Brushy Missionary Baptist Church in Wappapello, MO.

She married her husband of 49 years Mr. Orbie Paul Fugate on September 5, 1953, he preceded her in death on July 14, 2003.

She is survived by her sons David Fugate and wife Jeanne of Cedar Hill, MO., Matt Fugate of Poplar Bluff, MO.; brother Sherman Griffin of McAllen, TX.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Orbie Fugate, Jr.; parents Paul and Lossie (Walls) Griffin; and grandchild Maranda Fugate.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Post Oak Cememetry in McDougal, AR., with Reverend Tim Shultz officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Family Room.
