Mrs. Alneta Stubblefield, 84, of Corning, AR. passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Rector Nursing and Rehab in Rector, AR. Mrs. Stubblefield was a retired Deputy Tax Collector for the Clay County Sheriff and Collector's office. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Corning Order of the Eastern Star # 494.

She married her husband L.T. "Bud" Stubblefield on August 19, 1965 he preceded her in death on June 18, 1990.

She is survived by one daughter Norma Keown of Corning, AR.; one adopted daughter Ann Reed of Corning, AR.; one brother Bill York of Corning, AR.; four nieces Linda and husband Ray Simpson of Jonesboro, AR., Lisa and husband Doin Bowers, Jr. of Corning, AR., Julie and husband Robert Smothers of North Little Rock, AR., Jami and husband Bobby McGee of Lonoke, AR.; and eight great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband L.T. "Bud" Stubblefield; parents Horace and Dealie (Berry) York; two brothers Jewel and Charles York; two sisters in law Adena and Nellie York; and one great-nephew Rider Simpson.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Loy Culver officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Public visitation will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
