Alvis Parsons, Sr.

Mr. Alvis Parsons, Sr., 77, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Murphy Health & Rehab in Piggott, AR. Mr. Parsons was born in Stiltner, WV., he was owner of Parsons Produce, he enjoyed his work and fishing whenever he could.

He was married to Mavis Gene (Starns) Parsons, she preceded him in death.

He is survived by four sons Alvis Parsons, Jr. of Corning, AR., Perry Parsons of Jonesboro, AR., Charles Parsons and Doug Parsons both of WV.; brothers Andrew and Junior; sisters Vesta Ellen, Genevieve, Mabel, Shelba Jean, Donna Gay, Barbara Ann, Billie Joe, Maxine and Judy; four grandchildren and a life-long friend Tommy Toler.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and parents Tilden and Anna Mae (Stapleton) Parsons.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchid, AR. Public visitation will be Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
