Ann Ladd

Ann Ladd, 89, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at home. Mrs. Ladd was born September 15, 1933 in Corning, AR. She was a homemaker who spent her life loving and taking care of her family. She has fed many people through the years especially her breakfasts. She enjoyed her yard and she enjoyed her coffee. She spoiled her grandchildren. Ann was a member of the Corning Church of Christ.

On December 29, 1951, she married her one true love, Shelby Leon Ladd, Sr. They celebrated 59 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 3, 2011.

Survivors include her children David (Judy) Ladd of Corning, AR., Cathy (Bobby) Harpole of Imboden, AR., Jerry (Glenda) Ladd and Terry (Wendi) Ladd, both of Corning, AR., and Johnny (Leigh) Debord of Corning, AR.; daughters-in-law Brenda Ladd Skaggs and Carla Ladd, both of Corning, AR.; sisters-in-law Lorene Herring, Mava Foster, and Bonnie Bradley; grandchildren Shelby (David) Burkheart, Jimmy (Tonya) Ladd, Amanda (Clifford) Rorex, Tabitha (Jimmy) Moore, Robby (Jessica) Harpole, Sherri Hopkins, Bysshe Ladd and Linda Lewis; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons Shelby Ladd, Jr. and Jimmy Ladd, Sr.; parents Elmer Rueben and Lula Edna (Edwards) Foster; brothers Utah, Basil, Hulen, Elmo, Cloyce, and Lester Foster; and sisters Ruby Eldridge, Lenora Vinson, and Mary Richards.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Gary Hill officiating. Burial will follow the service at Black’s Cemetery near Success, AR.
