Arthur Ellis

Mr. Arthur Dwain Ellis, 86, of Success, AR., passed away peacefully on Saturday August 10, 2019 at home. Mr. Ellis was born in Pollard, AR., on April 2, 1933. He was retired from the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars, he also retired from civil service. He was a lifetime member of Veteran's of Foreign War Post # 8347, where he served as a past post and district commander. He was also a member of American Legion and Corning Masonic Lodge #719 where he was a Master Mason. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, water sports and joke telling. He was of the Apostolic faith.

He married his wife of 21 years Mrs. Louretta Jean (Maulding) on June 15, 1998. She survives, other survivors include his children Jerry Ellis and wife Jill of Tucson, AZ., Joseph Ellis and wife Nan of Melvin, MI., Ida and husband Joel Sazama of Tucson, AZ., Maurice Ellis of Warren, MI., Karen Comeau of Tucson, AZ.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Franklin and Etta (Hayes) Ellis; a daughter Etta Elaine Ellis; five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel pastors Herbert Ellis and Richard Mahan officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR., with Masonic Ceremony and Military Honors. Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
