Mrs. Aylene Bell (Parker) Hogard, 94, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Saint Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Hogard was born in Pollard, AR., on December 19, 1917. She was a retail clerk for many years at Graber Department Store, a member of the Eastern Star, she was a Past Worthy Matron. She enjoyed making quilts, sewing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She was of the Methodist faith.
She married her husband William Thelmus "W.T." Hogard on October 31, 1932. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1973.
She is survived by one son Harold Hogard of Byran, TX.; four daughters Elaine Williams of Memphis, TN., Madolyn Scrivner of O'Fallon, MO., Carolyn Gearhart of Pocahontas, AR., Dinah Boyden of Oregon, IL.; on identical twin sister Lorraine Watson of Piggott, AR.; seventeen grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Alec and Myrtle (Tinsley) Parker; one son William "Bill" Hogard; one brother Carl "Peck" Parker and one sister Mae Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Steven Hogard and Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will follow the services in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
