Bettie Ellis

Mrs. Bettie Ethel Ellis, 85, of Corning, AR., left this world surrounded by her family and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, April 24, 2013. Mrs. Ellis was born in Atkins, AR., on April 18, 1928. She was a homemaker, who loved taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, cooking, baking, working with her hands and going to church. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, serving as Ladies Chaplin for Arkansas District 3. She was an ordained minister and member of the Apostolic Fellowship Church in McDougal, AR.

She married her husband of sixty-seven years Ezra N. Ellis on November 26, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2013.

She is survived by eight children Betty Ann and husband Mike Russell of Las Vegas, NV.; Steven Ellis of Visalia, CA., Loyd Ellis and wife Sherry of Glendale, AZ., Richard Ellis and wife Barbara of Conroe, TX., John Ellis and wife Nancy of Las Vegas, NV., David Ellis of Las Vegas, NV., Herbert Ellis and wife Elaine of Corning, AR., Thomas Ellis of Corning, AR.; four brothers Burman Faucett and wife Audean of Santee, CA., Norman Faucett and wife Martha of Visalia, CA., Carroll Faucett and wife Jean of of Bakersfield, CA., Glen Faucett and wife Lorraine of Visalia, CA.; two sisters Elizabeth Baker of Missouri City, TX., Martha Jo Tanner of Fresno, CA.; a very special friend Maxine Book of Piggott, AR.; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and countless others family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Richard Benjamin and Bessie Irene (Abbott) Faucett, one infant child; one brother James Faucett and one sister Mary Clark.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Herbert Ellis and Paul Quinn officiating. Burial will follow the services at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Saint Francis, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
