Betty Rundel Compton

Mrs. Betty Lou Rundel Compton, 91, of Brookland, AR., passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at Green House Cottages of Belle Meade in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Compton was born in Newaygo, MI., on February 7, 1928. She was a homemaker who enjoyed going to church, making quilts, doing word search puzzles, spending time with her family and friends. She loved her puppy, Cocoa. In her younger years, she and her husband loved to fish and play dominoes. She attended Spruce Street Church in Jonesboro, AR.

She is survived by children Rosa and husband Ronald Parrish of Marmaduke, AR., Peggy Gutierrez of Corning, AR., Mary and husband Randy Page of Brookland, AR.; step-children Ron Compton and wife Leida of Fremont, MI., Joyce and husband Jim Campbell of Fremont, MI.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Compton; her parents John Roy and Florence May (Dillion) Taylor; two step-children Wynona Rash, Nadine Tennant; one sister Mabil Green; four brothers Dick Taylor, Tub Taylor, Timer Taylor and Bill Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel Bro. Marlin Ray and Bro. Randy Page officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
