Mrs. Betty Ann Hancock, 88, of Knobel, AR., passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Hancock was born in Knobel, AR., on June 28, 1926. She was a retired teacher for the Corning and Knobel School Districts having taught for 35 years. She enjoyed crafting and playing cards. She was of the Baptist faith.
She married her husband of 56 years Bill Hancock on June 20, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2007.
She is survived by two sons Clyde Hancock of Knobel, AR., Clinton Hancock and wife Mary of Knobel, AR.; two grandchildren Angie and husband Chris Pezzee of Woodinville, WA., Curt Hancock and wife Jackie of Byhalia, MS.; three step-grandchildren Joella Wolpers, Jamie Whitehead, Jennifer Wooldridge; four great-grandchildren Lily Pezzee, Ian Pezzee, Erin Hancock, Taylor Hancock and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Charlie Bell and Bertha (Moore) Pugsley Cox; and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:30 PM in the Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR., with Reverend Carl McKinney officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning, AR.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Rodney Schimming, Ronnie Hancock, Wesley Poore, Harold Hancock, James Ray and Benny hancock.
