Betty Pearson

Mrs. Betty Ieline (Turrentine) Pearson, 80, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at home. Mrs. Pearson was born on August 9, 1935., in Corning, AR. She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with family, raising her children and grandchildren, and she enjoyed yard saleing. She was Pentecostal in faith.

She married her husband of 49 years Buford “Boots” Pearson on November 2, 1953. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2002.

She is survived by three sons Buford Craddick of Weleetka, OK., Robert Pearson, Sr., of Hayti, MO., Daniel Pearson of Corning, AR.; five daughters Jaunita Bumpus of Olive Branch, MS., Judy Jackson of Corning., Lucy Creameans of Corning, AR., Dorothy Owens of Corning, AR., Bernice Davis of Corning, AR.; six brothers Henry Turrentine of Harviell, MO., Lester Turrentine of Doniphan, MO., Joe Terrentine of Neelyville, MO., Stanley Turrentine of Neelyville, MO., Ora Turrentine of Welton, AZ., Roy Turrentine of Cottonwood, AZ., four sisters Mary Jo Fowler of Portageville, MO., Anneda Leonard of Radcliffe, KY., Ruthie Ricker of Doniphan, MO., Rosie Richmond of Bowling Green, KY.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

She was preceded by her parents Sarah Elizabeth (Newingham) and Loran Elmer Turrentine, Sr.; one son Rev. Buford Pearson, Jr.; two daughters Annette Rice, Loretta Woods; two brothers Loran Elmer Turrentine, Jr., Bobby Gene Turrentine; three sisters Marilyn Turrentine-Jones, Brenda Ainley-Coe, Carol McCollum; and several grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Salem Cemetery in Boydsville, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
