Mrs. Betty Sue (Fowler) Vinson, 84, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Vinson was in born McDougal, AR., on October 5, 1932. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Corning.
She married her husband of 47 years, Jim Vinson, on October 19, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1999.
She is survived by her children, Pam and husband Kenny Raspberry of Bryant, AR., Mike Vinson and wife Vicky of Corning, AR., Denny Vinson and wife Julie of White House, TN., Duane Vinson of Nashville, TN.; seven grandchildren Stefanie (Aaron) Palmer, Josh (Jane) Raspberry, Nichole Vinson (Shawn Parkton), Jennifer (Clay) Thomerson, Amy (Scotty) Catt, Leah Vinson (Tyler Grevious), Emily Vinson; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister Syble and husband Jack Ingram of Corning, AR., many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Andrew Franklin and Susie (Bullington) Fowler, four sisters Nellie Calhoun, Maudie Hayes, Lucille Curtis, Helen Curtis; one brother William "Bud" Fowler and great-granddaughter Emma Grace Raspberry.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Josh Raspberry and Don Settles officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corning First Baptist Church Building Fund, 701 West Third Street, Corning, AR 72422.
