Bill Dixon

Mr. Billy Joe "Bill" Dixon, 81, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Dixon was born in Reyno, AR., on November 8, 1933. He was a farmer. He had also worked for the shoe factory and Darling Store Fixtures. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, and spending time with his grandson. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

He married his wife of 45 year Mrs. Pearly Christine (Moore) Dixon on September 20, 1969. She survives, other survivors include one daughter Kimberly Keech of Hot Springs, AR.; one brother Jimmy Dixon of Gosnell, AR.; five sisters Alice Leonard of Poplar Bluff, MO., Barbara Davis of Michigan, Mary Howell of Thayer, MO., Betty Westerfield of Newport, AR., Kay Vaughn of Reyno, AR.; his grandson Drake Bratton of Hot Springs, AR.; a sister-in-law Mary Freeman of Jonesboro, AR.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Simon Pete and Lucy Jane (Niswonger) Dixon; two brothers William Dixon, Elmer Dixon; two sisters Ann Plankey and Wilma Sue Dockins.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
