Mr. William “Bill” Smith, 77, of Corning, AR. passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Murphy Health and Rehab in Piggott, AR. Mr. Smith was a retired painter and bus driver. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He married his wife Mary Katherine (Blankenship) Smith on March 8, 1952 she preceded him in death February 10, 2007.
He is survived by one son Tim Smith and wife Sandra of McDougal, AR.; three brothers Ray Smith of Pittsburgh, PN., Lee Smith and Roy Smith both of Dayton, OH.; one sister Dorothy Kimble of Tampa, FL.; and one granddaughter Tevra Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Katherine Smith; parents Vester and Lucille Smith; one brother Robert Smith; three sisters Gladys Smith, Margaret Sutton, and Carolyn Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Monreal officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
