Ms. Billie Jean Fortenberry, 87, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Ms. Fortenberry was born in Corning, AR., on July 9, 1929. She was retired from Basler Electric and enjoyed going to yard sales, spending time with family, and wildlife watching. She attended First Christian Church in Corning.
She is survived by her children Billy Ray Wiedeman and wife Doris of Corning, AR., Jeanine Sexton of Corning, AR., Marie and husband Steve Fey of Corning, AR.; four grandchildren Sherrie Taylor, Eric Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, Todd Reynolds and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Alfred and Emma (Douglas) Walker; her brother Herman (Virginia) Walker; sisters Helen (Melvin) Ennis, Valetta (Red) Sumpter, Mozell (Edward) Braken, Nellie (Omer) Arnold and half-brother Roy Stroyable.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
