Billie Hunt Roush

Billie Roush, 84, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Billie was born July 11, 1940. She was retired. She worked for Basler Electric, Johansen Bros. Shoe Factory and Cole’s Boutique in Corning throughout her career. Hobbies included painting, poetry, singing, reading, camping, and gardening. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

On January 22, 2009 she married James Roush. They were married 15 years. Other survivors include her children Paul (Kim) Hunt of Corning, AR., Brenda (Kenny) Eason of Doniphan, MO., and Dora Collins of Potosi, MO.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hunt; sons Wayne, Charley, Mitchel and Scottie Hunt; parents George and Oma Jean (Moore) Stormes; and brother Huey Bass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ermert Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR.
