Mr. Billy Charles Cobb, 81, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at home. Mr. Cobb was born in Corning, AR., on April 3, 1931. He was a retired mechanical engineer. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing. He attended the First Baptist Church in Corning.
He married his wife Viola "Vi" (Buker) Cobb on August 29, 1953. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters Karen E. Gesling of Sublette, KS., Leeann C. Fleischauer of Augusta, GA.; two brothers Ted Cobb of Corning, AR., "Bo" Marvin Cobb of Corning, AR.; two sisters Hilda Rice of Corning, AR., Jane Conyers of Rector, AR.; three grandsons Bradley Charles Arrington, Augusta Cobb Gesling and Jacob Otis Gesling.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl Bowman and Wilma Christine (Richardson) Cobb; one daughter Pamala Jean Gibson; three sisters Mary Lee, Martha Harbison and Joan Hovis.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel Doctor Rusty Keltner officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
