Reverend Billy Joe Snow, Sr., 87, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, MO. Reverend Snow was born in Walnut Ridge, AR., on February 27, 1928. He was an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church, in which he pastored for 59 years, many of those serving the good people of the Highway Tabernacle, U.P.C. in Moark, AR., until his retirement. He also drove a school bus carrying many families precious cargo to and from school for many years, he also served as a Funeral Assistant for Ermert Funeral Home. Reverend Snow had a true servant's heart, he loved people and he enjoyed interacting with everyone he met.
He married the love of his life Dollie Mae (Cullens) Snow on April 13, 1945 and then for the next 70 years by example together they showed family and friends what God intended marriage to be. Sis. Snow survives, other survivors include two sons Reverend Kenneth Snow and wife Ann of Corning, AR., Reverend Edward Snow and wife Debbie of Cabot, AR.; one daughter Ramona and husband Wade Dugas of Poplar Bluff, MO.; one brother Woodrow Snow of Saint Louis, MO.; four sisters Iva Morrow of Bourbon, MO., Mary Lee Marler of Paragould, AR., Kathern Ella Williams of Ashton, IL., Reba Ward of Saint Charles, MO.; eleven grandchildren Nathan Snow, Terry Snow, Michael Snow, Eddie Snow, Ricky Snow, Kyle Dugas, Sherry Hazelwood, Sonya Rowe, Tonya Snow, Phebe Harris, Angie Snow; twenty three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Pat Snow.
He was preceded in death by parents Marvin and Gladys Vennie (Leonard) Snow; one son Reverend Billy Wayne Snow, Jr., and one grandson Jason Gene Snow.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Bryan Parkey and Bill Meadors officiating. Burial will follow the services in Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 from 6:00 PM until to 9:00 PM.
