Mr. Billy Leon Stone, 70, of Delaplaine, AR., passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mr. Stone was born Paragould, AR., on October 8, 1947. He grew up in Delaplaine and graduated from Delaplaine High School in 1965. He then joined the United States Army in May of 1968 were he proudly served during the Vietnam War as a Military Policeman. He was felt honored to serve his country and took pride in being a veteran. He also loved being a grandpa.
Survivors include two children William Sisco and wife Taunya, and Lanea Blagburn; five grandchildren Craig (Erika) Sisco, Beau (Emily) Sisco, Tanya (Jeramiah) Curry, Keelie (Clint) Simpson, Tristan Sisco; and 10 great-grandchildren Laney and Emelia Curry, Madoxx Barber, Bayley, Sawyer, Cope, and Rigney Sisco, Sebastian, Rhowen, and Bellamy Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda K. Stone and parents Oren and Lois (Kellett) Stone.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Hamm and Rick Kellett officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR., with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Lee Huckabee, James Hinkle, Russell Tate, Larry Bounds, Keith Mosby, Terry Gray, Frankie Jean Rice, and Roger Couch. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren.
