Mr. Bill Dee Verdier, 84, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mr. Vedier was born in Corning, AR., on August 2, 1928. He owned several businesses. He enjoyed telling jokes, dancing and having fun. He was a member of the American Legion, The Eagles of Poplar Bluff and was Church of Christ in faith.
He was married to Frances (Noles) Verdier, she survives. Other surviviors include four children William Verdier of Huntington, AR., Helen Shifflett of Huntington, AR., James Verdier of Mansfield, AR., Harold Verdier of Oklahoma; one sister JoAnn McNamee of Corning, AR.; five step-children Marvin Noles of Saint Louis, MO., Gloria Harrelson of Sister Bay, WI., Eva Rainwater of Jackson, MO., Al Sherwin of Las Vegas, NV., Dale Sherwin of Wisconsin. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, newphews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by parents D.D. and Gillie (Esmon) Verdier; one brother Howard Verdier and one sister Geneva Glass.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Black's Cemetery in Success, AR., with the Reverend Jim Moore officiating.
