Mr. Bobby Joe Allyn, 75, of Knobel, AR., passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Allyn was born in Boydsville, AR., on November 3, 1937. He was a self-employed farmer.
He married his wife Pearlie (Taylor) Allyn on January 10, 1970. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2002.
He is survived by two daughters Ann Slessman of Elkhart, IN., Debra Hancock of Paragould, AR.; one brother Billy Allyn; three sisters Betty Mansker, Peggy TayFoyia, Barbara Woolard; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one son Otis Guiltner; parents Sidney and Ola Mae (Scott) Allyn; one brother Jim Allyn and one sister Lula Allen Mcelyea.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bruce McGrew officiating. Burial will follow the services at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM.
