Mr. George Robert Hoover, 76, of Corning, AR., formerly of Brockway, PA., passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at his home. Mr. Hoover was born in DuBois, PA., on January 2, 1936. He was a retired computer analyst for the Treasury Department in Washington D.C. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway, PA.
He married his wife Mary Ellen (Cooper) Hoover on December 2, 1956. She survives.
Other survivors are one son Robert Allen Hoover of Front Royal, VA.; one daughter Pamila Diane of Canada and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arther and Mary Virginia (Handte) Hoover.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the service in Cantwell Cemetery near Corning.
Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
