Mr. Bobby Glen Phelan, 69, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Mr. Phelan was born in Corning, AR., on April 1, 1944. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed hunting. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Palatka Church of Church.
He is survived by his former wife and current companion Donna Burton of Corning, AR.; two daughters Kimberly Hoenack of Wasilla, AK., Rebecca Vanpool of Corning, AR.; one brother Jack Phelan; six sisters Helen Easterwood, Dorothy Gerber, Doris Shepard, JoAnn Kammerman, Virgina Brumfield, Wilma Bauschlicher; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by W.H. and Ethel (Gleghorn) Phelan; one brother Billy Phelan and one sister Hilda Shepard.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Visitation will be held at 2:00 Pm until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to Noah's Ark Pre-School or the Paragould Children's Home.
