Bob Shipman

Mr. Bobby Lee "Bob" Shipman, 72, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Shipman was born in Corning, AR., on October 6, 1946. He was retired from CenterPoint Energy. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.

He married his wife of 51 years Mrs. Joan (Karnes) Shipman on October 7, 1967. She survives, other survivors include his children Bobby Shipman and wife Laura Shipman of Jonesboro, AR., Russ Shipman and wife Stephanie of Bono, AR., Jason Shipman and wife Jennifer Searcy, AR.; his mother Mrs. Ruth (Goodman) Shipman Duff of Corning; sisters Mary Coleman of Spring, TX., Liz Haywood of Corning, AR.; seven grandchildren Bobby, Anna, Wil, Allison, Michael, Ean and Evie.

He was preceded in death by his father William Dewey Shipman and brother his Bill Shipman.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Carver officiating. Burial will follow the services in Corning Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 from 1:00  PM until the time of service.
