Mr. Bobby Lee Yates, Sr., 63, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Saint Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Yates was born in Saint Louis, MO., on June 26, 1951. He was an Automobile Service Technician. A United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, racing and gardening. He attended the First Baptist Church in Success, AR.
He is survived by five children Bobby Yates, Jr. of Pocahontas, AR., Eric Yates of Corning, AR., Jamie Yates of Pocahontas, AR., Shane Yates of Pocahontas, AR., Nathan Cochran of Corning, AR.; one brother Corkey Yates and wife Patti of Munford, TN.; three sisters Georgia and husband Keith Knowlton of Success, AR., Connie Tharp of Matthews, MO., Carol Yates of Matthews, MO.; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a very special friend Laura Jordan of Corning, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Faye (Cavitt) Yates and one brother Jerry Yates.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Wedding officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
