Mrs. Brenda Joyce (Rodden) Baker, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR. She was born in Pollard, AR., March 30, 1945, to Hiley and Ruby (Forrest) Rodden. Ms. Baker was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, MO.; a charter member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the American Legion. She was retired from L.A. Darling in Corning, AR. She enjoyed music, dancing, movies, flower gardening, her animals, genealogy, and most of all she said her daughter.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter Lisa (Baker) Kelley of Bella Vista, AR.; brother Cliff Rooker of Cantonment, FL.; step-brothers Ronnie Rooker of Mountain Home, AR., Don Lassiter of Wappapello, MO.; step-sisters Sharon Thompson of Poplar Bluff, MO., Charlotte Wrinkle of Scott City, MO.; step-mother Peggy Rooker of Poplar Bluff, MO.; aunts Georgie Householder of Corning, AR., Mildred Forrest of Corning, AR.; uncle Jack Forrest of Corning, AR.; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hiley and Ruby (Forrest) Rodden
and her step-father Earl Rooker.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Vail officiating. Burial will follow the services in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UCAN in Poplar Bluff, MO.; to any animal shelter; or to the genealogy section of the Three Rivers Library in Poplar Bluff, MO.
