Mrs. Brenda Joyce Creason Clarkson was born on June 9, 1942 and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She married Alvidean Ellis Clarkson on February 8, 1959 and through this union became a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Charleston, MO.
During her time on earth, Brenda worked as a hair stylist, nursing assistant, EMT, respiratory therapist, and phlebotomist. After becoming disabled many years ago, she loved spending time reading her Bible, crocheting, shopping, and trying new recipes.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents L. D. and Freda Pierce Creason. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Al Clarkson of the home; daughters Paula (Steve) Cate of Corning, AR., Shannon (Terry) Sears of Corning, AR., Dena (Sean) O’Guin of Glenpool, OK., and Jami (RockyII) Walker of Charleston, MO.; brother Phil (Emma) Creason of Perryville, MO.; sister Dee (Mark) Ahrent of Corning, AR.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 17,2016 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Mike McKinney officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Mission Project, 310 E. Tom Brown St., Charleston, MO 63834.
