Bruce Roach

Mr. Carlton Bruce Roach, 63, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mr. Roach was born in Batesville, AR., on June 25, 1957. Bruce was a retired Dispatcher with the Corning Police Department; he also was a long time Disc Jockey at KBKG More Music 93.5 FM and served as commentator for many, many Bobcat Football games. He loved coaching Pee Wee Basketball and Little League Baseball, he also loving umpiring and refereeing both. He was a true sport’s fan, he loved watching games on T.V., attending live games, studying the games, he knew stats and things nobody else knew about anything sports. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Maudie (Moore) Roach of Corning, AR.; stepchildren Jimmy Moore of Marmaduke, AR., Birdie Calhoun of Marmaduke, AR., Terina Bryant of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Cameron Calhoun, Braxton Calhoun, Dakota Blackman, Aaron Calhoun, Lilly Bryant, Baylee Calhoun; a niece Leanne Roach of North Little Rock, AR.; several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Lennox and Mattie Irene (Bailey) Roach and his brother James Roach.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 8, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pine Knott Cemetery near Paragould. Visitation will be held Friday, August 8, 2020 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
