Cardelia Woods

Mrs. Cardelia Woods, 89, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at home. Mrs. Woods was born in Dyersburg, TN., on December 21, 1922. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and take care of her family. She was a member of First General Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, MO.

She married her husband J.T. Woods on March 16, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1996.

She is survived by nine sons Gene Woods and wife Doris of Kennett, MO., Jerry Woods and wife Mary of Success, AR., Bob Woods of Jonesboro, AR., Mike Woods of Grady, AR., Bill Woods of Poplar Bluff, MO., Mark Woods and wife Karla of Pocahontas, AR., Larry Woods and wife Mary of Corning, AR., Ronnie Woods and wife Paulette of Corning, AR., Jim Woods and wife Mary of Corning, AR.; five daughters Reba and husband John Barnett of Sikeston, MO., Carolyn Hudson of Corning, AR., Patty and husband Gary Hobbs of Poplar Bluff, MO., Brenda and husband Brad Miles of Ripley, MS., Renee and husband Tony Miller of Pocahonts, AR.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Carl and Melvie (Lewis) Gaines; one son Dale Woods and one brother Edgar Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Dick Murray officiating. Burial will follow the services in Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
