Carl “Lawnmower Man” Robins, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Robins was born August 23, 1935 in Corning, AR. He was a machinist and owned a lawn mower shop locally. Carl enjoyed fixing lawn mowers, fishing and squirrel hunting. He loved spending time with his family and his dog, Clyde, who he was very close to. He was of the Baptist faith.
On December 17, 1953, he married Josie (Badgett) Robins. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. Other survivors include their children Glen (Sherry) Robins of Machesney Park, IL., Melinda Covey of Datto, AR., Mitch Robins of Corning, AR., Matt (Patty) Robins of Rockford, IL., Paul (Madeline) Robins of Corning, AR., Lisa (Dudley) Luttrell of Corning; AR.; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; bonus children Brent and Cindy Spinks; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents Guy Glen and Pheoba (Weaver) Robins; two brothers; six sisters; and grandson Nathaniel Robins.
The family would like to express special thanks to Debbie Miles and Saint Bernard’s Medical Center for Carl’s care.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Loran Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Cantwell Cemetery near Corning, AR.
