Carl & Virginia Corder

Carl Corder, 79, and Virginia Corder, 83 of Williford, AR., passed from this life into the eternal together on Friday, May 31, 2024. Carl was born on February 4, 1945 in Hickoria, AR., he was a retired mechanic, who held many different jobs in several different locations around the country during his career. He enjoyed working on racecars and racing them, working on airplanes and flying them, watching rodeo and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Virginia was born on July 6, 1940 in Van Buren, MO., she was a homemaker, who enjoyed reading, crafting, doodling and taking care of her husband and family. They were members of the Gospel Music Cowboy Church in Williford.

Carl and Virginia were married on January 30, 1969 since that date they spent every day loving each other for the past 55 years. To this happy couple six children are surviving, they are Jerry Corder of Florida, Cynthia (Keith) Barber of Jonesboro, AR., Howard (Donna) Corder of Quitman, AR., Patricia Corder of Williford, AR., Mike (Kim) Corder of Bono, AR., Rebecca (Troy) Foust of Williford, AR.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Virginia has also two surviving sisters Sue Archer and Vivian Hicks.

Together they were preceded in death by a daughter Angela Corder; and two infant grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary (Wisdom) Corder; siblings Billy Willis, Tom Corder, Dolly Jett, Frances Lane, Charlie Corder, Thelma Dobbins, James, Clarence, Nancy and Carl Corder.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Vera (Morril) Rennison; siblings Richard, Lee, Jim, Joe, George and Larry Rennison, Marilyn Burnet, Evelyn Phelps and Norma Towner.

Visitation for Carl and Virginia will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Jimmy Polston, Troy Foust and Larry Dobbins officiating. Burial will follow the services at Allen Cemetery in Knobel, AR., Carl will receive full Military Honors.
