Caroline Melton

Mrs. Caroline Katherine Melton, 83, of Paragould, AR., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Melton was born in Knobel. AR., on June 2, 1935. She was a homemaker. She traveled extensively, loved children, was a mom to everyone, always had a positive outlook and smile on her face. She was a member of Gainesville Church of Christ in Paragould, AR.

She married her husband of 45 years Mr. Ewell Melton on August 31, 1973. He survives, other survivors include her sisters Imogene Cable of Paragould, AR., Florence Davidson of Albuquerque, NM., Cona Ricker of Knobel, AR.; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Milan “Pete” and Margie (Hart) Ashby; brothers Lee Ashby, Stanton Ashby, J.T. Ashby, Melvin Ashby and Leonard Ashby.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Cable officiating. Burial will follow the services at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
