Mrs. Caroline "Carol" Kathryn Pankey, 80, of Biggers, AR., passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at home. Mrs. Pankey was born in Saint Louis, MO., on September 4, 1937, She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Biggers, AR.
She married her husband of 63 years Mr. Donald Pankey on October 30, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2017.
She is survived by her children Donald Pankey of Pocahontas, Robert Pankey of Biggers, Brenda Hixson of Texas, Pamela Dowthitt of Texas, Michael Pankey of Missouri, Steven Pankey of Missouri, David Pankey of Biggers, Tina Pankey of Pocahontas, Tonya Pankey of Biggers; four brothers; three sisters; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by parents August and Dorothy (Goehl) Nelson; her daughter Dorothy Lane; grandson Keeven Pankey; two sisters; four brothers and a daughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the services at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
