Carolyn Evans, 70, of Corning, passed away May 15, 2025 at home.

Mrs. Evans was born November 30, 1954 in Hickoria. She was a retired C.N.A. Carolyn loved playing bingo, reading, and spending time with her family. She was of the Christian faith.

On March 20, 1987, she married John L. Evans III. They recently celebrated their 38th anniversary. Other survivors include their children John Evans IV of Ortonville, MI; Shannon Elliott of North Branch, MI; Jerry Evans of Searcy; Clinton Evans of Conway; brothers Gary Gilbee of Boydsville; Mark Gilbee of McDougal; sisters Sharon Byars of Corning; Sue Pillow of Corning; Betty Tyler of Poplar Bluff, MO; Kim Ferguson of Doniphan, MO; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Eva (Nixon) Gilbee and brother Larry Gilbee.

Visitation will be held Friday May 16, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Private interment will follow.
