Carolyn Mccollum

Mrs. Carolyn "Carol" Faye (Turrentine) McCollum, 65, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. McCollum was born in Rosebud, IL., on June 30, 1951. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed working puzzles, cooking, crochet, hunting for arrowheads, fishing and listening to music. She was Pentecostal in faith.

She married her husband of 43 years Wilburn Eugene "Gene" McCollum on December 2, 1967. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2011.

She is survived by her four children Sarah Hollis of Corning, AR., Wilburn Eugene McCollum, Jr., of Corning, AR., Randy Dale McCollum of Corning, AR., Bobby Gene McCollum of Corning, AR.; six brothers Henry Turrentine of Harviell. MO., Joe Turrentine of Neelyville, MO., Stanley Turrentine of Neelyville, MO., Lester Turrentine of Doniphan, MO., Ora Turrentine of Welton, AZ., Roy Turrentine of Cottonwood, AZ.; five sisters Betty Pearson of Corning, AR., Mary Jo Fowler of Marston, MO., Anneda Leonard of Radcliffe, KY., Ruthie Ricker of Doniphan, MO., Rosie Richmond of Welton, AZ.; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Loran Elmer Turrentine, Sr., and Sarah Elizabeth (Newingham) Turrentine; granddaughter Bethany Bashay Hollis; two brothers Loran Elmer Turrentine, Jr., Bobby Gene Turrentine; two sisters Marilyn Turrentine-Jones and Brenda Ainley-Coe.

Funeral services will conducted Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Moark Cemetery in Moark, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
