Carolyn Rush

Carolyn Rush, 78, of Festus, MO., and Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at home in Festus. Mrs. Rush was born on December 2, 1945 in Puxico, MO. She was retired from Darling Store Fixtures. She enjoyed watching television, playing rummy and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Tabitha Wallace of Corning, AR., and Festus, MO.; brother Jack McWilliams of Rockford, IL.; grandchildren Donnie Rush, Samantha Lindsey, Shania Latvala and Jared Rush; seven great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie Rush on January 2, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her son Michael Rush on October 18, 2023, parents Calvin and Rosyln (Duff) McWilliams; sisters Alma Poteet and Zelma Staggs and grandson James “J.W.” Wallace on Sept. 20, 2021.

The family will conduct a celebration of life at a later date.
