Carolyn Veach-Barnum

Ms. Nancy Carolyn (Jackson) Veach Barnum, 76, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Ms. Veach was born in Dell, AR., on November 24, 1938. She was a retired Nursing Home Administrator, having operated the Corning Nursing Home for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one son Glenn Veach of Corning, AR.; two daughters Melissa and husband Russell Curnutt of Poplar Bluff, MO., Nancy and husband Jeff Jarrell of Dudley, MO.; two brothers Jerry Jackson of Osceola, AR., Dickie Jackson of Lubbock, TX.; eight grandchildren Brandy and husband Thad King, Jonathan Guite, Taylor Jarrell, Anthony Curnutt and wife Dustie, Susane Burkhart, Rusti and husband Jesse Russom, Mandy and husband John Leible, Michael Veach; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents James Farmer and Linnie Virginia (King) Jackson; three brothers Larry Jackson, Harold Jackson, James Jackson, Jr.; three sisters Edith Eoff, Billie Boren and Dixie Thaxton.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Sunny Williams and James Keel officiating. Burial will follow in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
