Mr. Charles Louis “Tuffy” Choate, 86, of Farmington, MO., formerly of Knobel, AR., passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at home. Mr. Choate was born in Sedgeick, MO., on December 17, 1932. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. During his life he worked for a sawmill, the Saint Louis Shipyard and he was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He attended the Assembly of God.
He married his wife of 54 years Mrs. Geraldean (Ray) Choate on March 13, 1964, she preceded him in death on April 6, 2018.
He is survived by one son David Choate of Bonne Terre, MO., twp daughters Belinda Choate of Farmington, MO., Diane Morgan of Alabama; one brother Donnie Choate of Lyons, OR.; nine grandchildren Drake, Paige, Jones, Chelise, Nina, Michael, Emerald, Cash, Mayola; seven great-grandchildren Riley, Bryan, CamiLynn, Abigail, Sophia, Jaxon and Loraina.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by two sons Billy Choate, Doug Choate; his parents Clyde Sebert and Mamie Mabel (Gail) Choate; and five siblings Shirley, Beulah, Mary, JB and IdaBelle.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Marlin Ray officiating. Burial will follow the the services at Hosea Cemetery, in Knobel, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
