Charles Edward “Eddie” Arnold, 72, of Batesville, AR., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was born on September 29, 1951, the son of Jackie and Geneva (Ballard) Arnold. Eddie was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. He taught Bible classes and preached at small congregations. He was a simple man of few words who lived a life of faith, principle, and love. Eddie was a retired science teacher having taught in Brookland, Knobel, and Corning. He had a passion for hunting and found joy is his family.
He is survived by his daughter Charla Foster and husband Michael Foster of Glen Rose, TX.; two grandchildren, Noah Foster and Journey Foster of Glen Rose, TX.; sisters-in-law Bobbie Lester and Barbara (Gary) Cutler, both of Corning, AR.; and nephew Glendal Boyd of Corning, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 50 years, Betty June (Tanner) Arnold.
His family gives special thanks to the caregivers at White River Diagnostic Clinic, White River Health, Eagle Mountain Assisted Living, and UAMS.

Visitation will be held in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Bill Cline officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
