Charles Jerry Hill

Mr. Charles Jerry Hill, 70, of Union, MO., passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Clair Nursing Center in St. Clair, MO. Mr. Hill was born in Delaplaine, AR., he worked for General Motors for over 34 years. He was a Masonic Lodge Past Master at the Tyro Masonic Lodge in Caladonia, MO., the oldest active Masonic Lodge west of the Mississippi River. He enjoyed fishing, Cardinals baseball, coin collecting and bowling. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Union, MO.
He married his wife Mrs. Georgia E. (Barksdale) Hill on August 5, 1961. She survives. Other survivors include two sons Jerry Dale Hill and wife Holly of Nashville, TN., John Mark Hill and wife Laurie of Pekin, IL.; two brothers Danny and Rick Hill both of Corning, AR.; two sisters Rita Stormes of Corning, AR., Janie Neal of Wentzville, MO.; four grandchildren Parker, Logan, Austin, and Shayla Hill.
He was preceded in death by parents Woodrow and Lenora “Shorty” (Stevens) Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Hugh McNary and Denny Stormes officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Jones Ridge Cemetery at Delaplaine, AR. Public visitation will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM.
Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home, Paragould, AR.
