Charles Karow, aged 84, of Corning, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Cedargate Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Born on June 21, 1941, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Charles was the son of Charles Fredrick and Anna Marie (Sturm) Karow. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to his work as a mechanic and carpenter. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Charles had a passion for working on cars, woodworking, and riding motorcycles. He was also actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, reflecting his commitment to scouting. A devoted Lutheran, his faith was an important part of his life.
On August 14, 1963, Charles married Alice Handwork, sharing 62 wonderful years together. He is lovingly remembered by his wife; their daughter, Leigh (Johnny) Debord of Corning, Arkansas; their son, John (Tammy) Karow of Pocahontas, Arkansas; grandchildren Seth (Whitney) Debord, Ian (Danielle) Debord, Landon Karow, Austin Karow, and Payne Swann; and great-grandchildren Cambry and Macklin Debord. He is also fondly remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Charlotte Shabrach.
