Mr. Charles Lee Mathes, 78, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Mathes was born in Topeka, KS., on October 2, 1936. He was a retired attendant at Success Grain. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, four wheeler riding and boating. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Reyno, AR.
He married his wife Mrs. Shelba Jean (Crawley) Mathis in 1960; others survivors include his son Lonnie Mathis and fiancé Pam Moore of Biggers, AR.; four grandchildren Todd Mathis, Charley Mathis, Jessica Jascomb and Kayla Star.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Thelma Mathes; several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 6:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will be at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR., at a later date. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 PM until the time of services.
