Mr. Charles Harrison Phillips, 77, of Piggott, AR., passed away quietly Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his home. Mr. Phillips was born in Corning, AR., on April 13, 1940 to Arvel and Lorine (Patterson) Phillips. He graduated from Corning High School in 1958 and remained in Corning for many years as a farmer, a business owner, and later employed within the trucking industry. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, AR.
He married his wife Mrs. Bonnie (Lane) Phillips, January 27, 1979. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by his three children Sue (Phillips) Harmon of Piggott, AR., Angela Phillips of Brookland, AR., Paul Phillips of Springfield, MO.: one brother Arvel Phillips, Jr. of Corning, AR.: grandchildren Andrea (Jon) Cooper of Jonesboro, Doug (Lisa) Harmon of Jonesboro, Amanda Myhre of Piggott, Bayley Walls of Brookland, Braden Walls of New Orleans, LA, Paige and Laura Phillips both of Springfield, MO; ; two step-sons Joe Bass and wife Linda, Gary bass and wife Linda; five step-grandchildren Shara Hardin, Michael McKinney, Shane, Jeremy, Linday and Brandi bass.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
