Charlie Eddington

Mr. Charles Edward “Charlie” Eddington, 82, of Datto, AR., passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR. Mr. Eddington was born in Ellsinore, MO., on March 26, 1934. He was an equipment operator for Natural Gas Pipe Line. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses and fishing. He was a member of the Corning Masonic Lodge # 719 and Datto Missionary Baptist Church in Datto, AR.

He is survived by his children Collin Eddington and wife Jennifer of Corning, AR., Jana Kae Eddington of Little Rock, AR.; two brothers Burton Eddington of Datto, AR., Irvin Eddington of Doniphan, MO.: four sisters Juanita “Blackie” Blackburn of Jonesboro, AR., June Swan of Datto, AR., Barbara White of Maynard, AR., Brenda Eddington of Datto, AR.;three grandchildren Rhett, Wyatt and Cotton.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Anna (Wood) Eddington; one brother J.W. Eddington; five sisters Ruth Wigger, Anna Jane Sullivan, Myrtilla McDowell, Virginia Lopez and Elenora Eddington.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Roger Hovis and Mike Chadwick officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
