Charlie Jones

Mr. Charlie Edwin Jones, 74, of Maynard, AR., passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Saint Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Jones was born in Success, AR., on January 24, 1938. He was a retired drywall finisher and painter who enjoyed working in the yard, playing with grandchildren, and watching baseball, hockey, and Nascar. He was a member of First Apostolic Church in Corning, AR.

He married his wife Carolyn Ann (Gilbert) Jones on July 3, 1959, she survives. Other survivors include one son Chuck Jones of Maynard, AR.; one daughter Angela Jones of Pollard, AR.; mother Geneva Ellen (Crowell) Jones of Maynard, AR.; two sisters Donna Romine of Paragould, AR., Sharon Bratcher of Batesville, AR.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Willis Albert Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Chris Dixon and Wayne Stacy officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
